As Anurag Kashyap’s Black Friday clocks 15 years, actor Aditya Srivastava recalls how tough a period it was for them when the film was facing release problems.

He has also portrayed pivotal roles in the Bollywood films Satya, Gulaal, Lakshya, Paanch, Black Friday, Kaalo, Super 30 and Dil Se Pooch Kidhar Jana Hai.

Black Friday was the film adaptation written and directed by Anurag Kashyap. The film stars Kay Kay Menon, Aditya Srivastava, Pavan Malhotra, Kishor Kadam, Zakir Hussain and was released in India on 9 February 2007. [6]

Mitra, director of operations for Mid Day, approached Kashyap with the book and wanted him to write a television series based on it for the Aaj Tak TV news channel.

Aditya Srivastav was born on 21 July 1968 in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. He is an actor, known for Lakshya (2004), Black Friday (2004) and Haseen Dillruba (2021). He has been married to Manasi Srivastava since 2003. They have two children.
