PlayStation Plus will begin focusing solely on PlayStation 5 games starting January 2026. In a blog post announcing its monthly games for February, the firm said PlayStation 4 games will "no longer be a key benefit" on PS Plus and will "only occasionally be offered" on its monthly games and games catalog services.

PlayStation Plus is moving away from offering monthly PlayStation 4 games beginning in 2026. The paid subscription service will still offer them “occasionally,” but the main focus of the program will be PS5 games, and it only took almost the entirety of the current console’s life-cycle to see customer demand get there.

The PlayStation 4 is old enough now that Sony has announced that its games will soon be excluded from the monthly PlayStation Plus line-ups.

Sony has announced the PlayStation Plus Essential Tier games for February 2025 are Payday 3 (PS5), High on Life (PS4 and PS5), and Pac-Man World Re-Pac (PS4 and PS5).

The PlayStation Plus lineup for February 2025 features Payday 3, High on Life, and Pac-Man World Re-Pac. These games will be accessible to PS Plus subscribers from February 4. Sony has also announced a shift in focus towards native PS5 games, with PS4 titles no longer being a key benefit from 2026.
