The 2025 National Invitation Tournament title game matchup is officially set, as No. 1 seed UC Irvine will face Chattanooga on Thursday at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis for the championship.

The postseason run continues for the Chattanooga Mocs men's basketball team.They punched their ticket to the 2025 National Invitation Tournament (NIT) Champions

This one somewhat mirrored the three NIT wins that had come before it. The Mocs got behind at halftime by four — “We’re not a first-half team,” chuckled Wieland in his post-game interview after scoring 12 points, six in each half — before outsourcing the Ramblers by 11 (47-36) in the final half.

Ross Hodge is the new coach for West Virginia, but before heading there, Hodge led his last North Texas team as far as it could go in the NIT.
