Former Tennessee quarterback Nico Iamaleava is expected to transfer to UCLA, a source briefed on the process said. Iamaleava officially entered the transfer portal Wednesday with a “do not contact” label. He left Tennessee last week after attempts to rework his contract with a Tennessee name, image and likeness (NIL) collective went public.

The Tennessee Volunteers have been in the headlines due to their back-and-forth with now-former starting quarterback Nico Iamaleava, who is officially in the college football transfer portal. Iamaleava tried to negotiate for more money before electing to enter the portal in hopes of a bigger deal elsewhere.

These things take time and money. And it hasn’t been as long as it seems. But Tennessee needs a quarterback from the transfer portal.
