President Donald Trump has signed a sweeping executive order setting a 30-day deadline for drugmakers to lower the cost of prescription drugs in the U.S.
Fox News senior medical analyst Dr. Marc Siegel weighs in on President Donald Trump's pharmaceutical executive order aiming to cut drug prices for Americans.
He also hinted that the goal of the policy was to facilitate direct sale of drugs to Americans at the most-favored nation price by cutting out middlemen, presumably a reference to the pharmacy benefit managers who negotiate drug prices on behalf of insurers and companies. Drugmakers have long blamed them for the high prices Americans pay.
