Miss America Abbie Stockard spoke out on Anne Jakrajutatip's controversial comments that the Miss Universe pageant didn't need to evolve.

Miss America Abbie Stockard is dating an NBA player. She said it's "amazing" that contestants no longer have to hide their significant others.

Abbie Stockard, a 22-year-old college student, supports the pageant's age limit. Contestants must be between the ages of 18 and 28.

Abbie Stockard was crowned the new Miss America on January 5. She told BI she prepared for the pageant as if she was studying for a college exam.

During an appearance on “Fox & Friends" on Tuesday, Madison Marsh — who was crowned Miss America in 2024 — detailed the moment she realized what an impact she has on her peers.

Kellye Cash is the only Miss Tennessee to win the Miss America title. She won Miss Tennessee in 1986 and was crowned Miss America in 1987, according to Miss Tennessee. Peyton Bolling won the title of Miss America's Teen. She is the first teen from Arkansas to wear the Miss America's Teen crown.

This is insane," Stockard said in a video posted on the organization's Instagram. "I don’t know what I did to deserve this.”

Wash won the Miss South Carolina pageant on June 29, 2024. She previously held the title of Miss Clemson 2024.

"I am now in this position of influence, because I get to be an inspiration to other young women across the nation," Abbie Stockard said.

Peyton Bolling of Rogers, Arkansas, was crowned Miss America’s Teen in Orlando, Florida. Ali Mims of Harpersville, Alabama, took second place.
