Per Ben Goessling of The Minnesota Star Tribune, J.J. McCarthy said he's been fully cleared by the teams medical staff after the team's player physicals at the start of mandatory minicamp. What's more, McCarthy said he "hasn't felt" his knee "at all" after two surgeries last year.

Maybe the biggest knock on quarterback J.J. McCarthy coming out of college was that he might not have the arm strength required to succeed at the highest level. That analysis couldn’t be more inaccurate when actually watching him throw.
