Penn State’s 58-day coaching search has finally come to an end. After James Franklin’s unexpected firing, AD Patrick Kraft explored every option to fix the mess left by the former HC.

Congress created the Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and only it can stop its official observance. President Ronald Reagan signed the King Holiday Bill into law on Nov. 2, 1983, thus designating the third Monday in January a federal holiday in observance of the civil rights leader.

Brad Gagnon of Bleacher Report came up with best candidates to fill current coordinator openings. For the Chargers, he actually listed Jake Peetz as the best fit at OC. Peetz currently serves as the Seahawks' pass game coordinator.

Philadelphia hired Nick Sirianni. Daboll agreed to lead the New York Giants one year later. Things didn't work out for the latter, and after being fired on November 10, he has re-emerged as an attractive OC option for the Eagles after they moved on from Kevin Patullo.

Per a report from NFL Media, Daboll is set to interview with the Chargers for their offensive coordinator vacancy. Daboll is in the mix for a few offensive coordinator openings, but he also interviewed with the Titans for their head coaching job earlier this week.

After an aggressive pursuit, the New York Giants have officially hired John Harbaugh as their next head coach.
