The San Antonio Spurs traded Blake Wesley and Malaki Branham to the Washington Wizards for Kelly Olynyk, and Jeremy Sochan was quick to drop his reaction.

One likely reason for bringing McLaughlin back is the Spurs can use the veteran’s minimum to keep the $3.1 million that remains of their Non-Taxpayer Mid-Level Exception and $5.1 million of the Bi-Annual Exception, which they can in turn use on their remaining two roster spots.
