The five-member Board of Miss Madison Inc, the local nonprofit running their beloved hydroplane racing team, sold their two community-owned hulls to a buyer in Washington state at the end of 2024.

They are also equipped with strengthened fins and retractable hydroplanes that allow them to sail through thick ice, and can stay at sea unsupported for up to three months.
