The Saints had two other candidates withdraw from their coaching search, with Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady choosing to stay in Buffalo and Aaron Glenn opting to take the Jets’ head coaching job after a virtual interview with the Saints. Both Brady and Glenn previously were assistant coaches in New Orleans.

Kingsbury will reportedly stay in Washington, taking himself out of consideration for the New Orleans Saints' head coaching vacancy.

Kingsbury declined to conduct any interviews while the Commanders remained in the postseason, where they lost on Sunday to the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC championship. The Saints are the only NFL team still seeking to hire a head coach and had requested an interview with Kingsbury that he will not take.

The Saints requested a Kliff Kingsbury interview shortly after the regular season ended, but no meeting was ever scheduled. The Commanders’ OC received interest from other teams as well but indicated he would not meet regarding any HC jobs until after the team’s season wrapped.

The Saints are still searching for a head coach but Kliff Kingsbury may not be interested in the job after his success in Washington.

Kingsbury is not the only name to pull out of consideration for the Saints’ head coaching vacancy. Bills offensive coordinator Joe Brady chose to remain in Buffalo, while former Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn took the head job with the New York Jets.

The city hosting the Super Bowl also has the only NFL team without a head coach. The New Orleans Saints' search for a new coach could wait until after the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs wrap up the big game next Sunday.
