Mailbag: How do the Detroit Lions avoid mediocrity purgatory?
Dan Campbell is nowhere close to where these iconic coaches have been, but there is already a growing worry that the Lions may find themselves in a similar purgatory. They’re good enough to produce good records and win divisional titles, but not good enough to win a Super Bowl.
The Pittsburgh Steelers and head coach Mike Tomlin have never been more at a cross roads than now, especially if the team were to lose to the Baltimore Ravens. Yet, it certainly does not appear the Steelers have any plans on moving on from Tomlin.
Mike Tomlin couldn’t add to his Steelers legacy by winning big again, but he surely left with his dignity fully intact.
