12 new measles cases have been detected in West Texas, according to Texas DSHS. 158 cases have been detected in West Texas since late January. 1 child has died, and more than 20 people have been hospitalized.

Texas now has 202 cases of measles, according to the Texas Department of State Health Services' latest numbers on Friday. That is up from 163 on Tuesday. Most of those cases, 198, are in West Texas, including 138 in Gaines County.
