As mentioned earlier, Shinjuro Rengoku, Kyojuro's father, served as the Flame Hashira for quite a long time. At the time of his retirement, he was the oldest Hashira among his peers.

The Mugen Train arc closes with Rengoku’s death as the Hashira gives his life to defeat a foe. The scene is heartbreaking in every way, so fans are not eager to experience it again.

Even Rengoku’s voice actor remarks that watching those flashbacks brings him to tears, saying Rengoku is “a huge presence” – not just for Tanjiro, but for the entire Demon Slayer Corps.

Rengoku is a user of the Flame Breathing style and he has mastered all of its breathing forms. Due to the morals taught to him by his mother, Rengoku takes it as his duty to protect the weak.

Anime Vanguards players can get Rengoku as a reward for completing Act 4 of the Spider Forest raid. This is incredibly rare, though, with a mere 1% drop chance each time you complete the raid.

Rengoku will also come with a bento box, a crossed arms part, and his katana’s scabbard. While the Akaza figma will also come with three face plates, he has fewer optional parts than Rengoku.

The final chapter of the Demon Slayer manga is out now, but the series isn’t over. A short spin-off series about Kyojuro Rengoku, the Flame Pillar, is in the works by Ryōji Hirano.
