Opponents of President Donald Trump's administration on Saturday are planning to rally in nearly 2,000 locations across the country, including many in Northern California.

San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s deputies are headed to Los Angeles to support law enforcement’s response to the ongoing protests against immigration enforcement. According to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office on Friday, a total of 23 deputies were sent to Los Angeles after a mutual aid request from the state Office of Emergency Services.

County Executive Marc Elrich says federal responses to First Amendment-protected demonstrations against ICE actions are “chilling.”

LA County District Attorney Nathan Hochman noted that combing through social media posts and other available videos will also assist in identifying those who committed crimes during any of the protests,

Protestors wearing shirts reading "make out not war" climbed on top of a military vehicle ahead of the Army parade.
