An Iowa lawmaker has his sights set on some southern Minnesota property — not for himself, but for the Hawkeye state itself.

Ankeny, said he will introduce a bill in the Iowa General Assembly to purchase the bottom nine counties of Minnesota and make them part of Iowa.

Iowa's boundaries remain largely the same as when the state entered the union in 1846. But one Republican senator wants to change that.
