Manchester City beat Crystal Palace 3-0 to continue their Premier League title charge. Erling Haaland scored a double, the second from the spot, either side of Phil Foden netting a fine low strike. Yeremy Pino and Adam Wharton both hit the woodwork on a frustrating afternoon for Palace, who stay fifth.
Pep Guardiola was critical of Phil Foden's performance at Crystal Palace despite the Manchester City star's goal in their 3-0 win. Foden scored the second in front of England manager Thomas Tuchel to continue his excellent form, yet his club manager thought it was not one of the 25-year-old's better performances.
Manchester City and Aston Villa kept the pressure on Premier League leader Arsenal with wins on Sunday. Nottingham Forest pulled further away from the relegation zone with a 3-0 victory against Tottenham and Sunderland beat Newcastle 1-0 in the Tyne-Wear derby after an own-goal from Nick Woltemade.
