This article originally appeared on KCRA.com. HANFORD, Calif. — Law enforcement issued an Amber Alert for two San Joaquin Valley children after their mother was found dead. Officials believe the father is responsible for the kidnapping and her death.

An Amber Alert is in place for two missing children after their mother was found dead in Hanford, California on Tuesday. Around 4 p.m., deputies found a woman dead from a gunshot wound in a home near Fourth Place and Orchard Drive.
