Kansas lawmakers used Topeka's old White Lakes Mall as a talking point for a STAR bonds proposal intended to benefit redevelopment of malls elsewhere.

Those changes included the razing of White Lakes Mall and a planned $15 million development for the southwest corner of S.W. 32nd Terrace and Topeka Boulevard.

Mainline Printing has done business in Topeka since 1958. The building it is selling the city was once part of the White Lakes Mall, for which all other buildings involved were demolished in 2022.
