Now that the NFL preseason is over, the most dreaded part of the season for many of their players is upon us. All 32 teams begin making their roster cuts after the final week of preseason and there were many former Oregon Ducks who received life-changing news.

The undrafted rookie, who was not invited to the NFL Scouting Combine, joined the rest of Oregon’s program-record 10 drafted players from this year in making the initial round of roster cuts on Tuesday. Reed was the only undrafted UO player from this year to make an initial 53-man roster.

The New York Jets were busy cutting their roster down to 53 players earlier this week but kept that momentum rolling into waivers. Following roster cuts, the Jets dipped into the wavier wire system three different times to claim a trio of players.
