The Trump administration in court filings said it will partially fund SNAP benefits during the federal government shutdown.

F looding from the heavy rain Thursday has closed part of Route 35 on the barrier island in northern Ocean County, authorities said. The Ocean County Sheriff's Office sent an alert Thursday afternoon that Route 35 was closed south of Brick because of the flooding.
