After a successful first half of the season in an Everton shirt, Jack Grealish 's campaign has hit a serious roadblock. It was reported earlier this week, and confirmed by the club officially, that he will be sidelined for some time due to a foot injury.

Having missed Everton’s FA Cup tie against Sunderland through suspension, Grealish started on the left against Villa. Before kick-off, he received applause from supporters in the lower Doug Ellis Stand as he jogged over to take his position.
