WWE WrestleMania returns to the Superdome in 2026. On Friday's episode of WWE SmackDown, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson formally announced that WrestleMania 42 will take place in New Orleans on April 11 and April 12.

Rhodes made his way out and met "The Final Boss" in the ring. The Rock said he and "The American Nightmare" have become good friends since their rivalry from WrestleMania 40. The Rock said that he needs Rhodes to understand that he runs the show at TKO and WWE.

The Rock announced that WWE would be bringing WrestleMania 42 to New Orleans at the Superdome. He made the announcement on the February 21st episode of WWE SmackDown. Speaking at the post-show press conference, Rock revealed the announcement was originally going to be made at the Super Bowl, which was also held in New Orleans.
