Winter Weather Advisories have been issued for two areas of Michigan, both calling for some heavy snow and possibly difficult travel conditions on the roads. These two advisory areas are also hundreds of miles apart and have different timing, so let’s separate it out for you here:

Snow has piled up in Southeast Michigan as multiple rounds of flurries moved through the area on Saturday and Sunday.

A 'coast-to-coast' winter storm will impact Michigan. Areas along Lake Huron could see as much as 12 inches of snow — maybe more. Where it will fall.

Here's a look at this week across Michigan. It will be totally wintry on temperatures. Only one region and one type of snow is expected this week.

Southeast Michigan is now predicted to see anywhere between 5-12 inches of snow as a winter storm hits the entire Lower Peninsula.

Storm Watch was expanded this morning to include all of Southeast Michigan starting Wednesday afternoon through Thursday morning. This watch precedes advisories and warning.

EST a cold weather advisory was issued by the National Weather Service in effect until 9 a.m. EST for Osceola, Clare, Mecosta, Isabella, Montcalm, Gratiot, Ionia, Clinton, Eaton, Ingham, Calhoun and Jackson counties.

Snow accumulations between 3-6 inches are expected in some portions of Southeast Michigan. Some areas around and south of I-94 may see a wintry mix that includes freezing rain or sleet, which could lead to a light glaze of ice accumulations.
