U.S. stock market futures rose in early action Thursday, possibly setting up for a third day of gains with major indexes within touching distances of record highs. Dow Jones Industrial Average futures rose 66 points, or 0.2%, to 45070. S&P 500 futures gained 8 points, or 0.1%, to 6094. Nasdaq-100 futures increased 16 points, or 0.1%, to 21779.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average finished with a gain of 317.24 points, or 0.7%, at 44,873.28, led by gains for Amgen, Goldman Sachs, Sherwin-Williams and Nvidia. The S&P 500 ended 23.60 points higher, up 0.4%, at 6,061.48, while the Nasdaq Composite finished at 19,692.33, with a gain of 38.31 points, or 0.2%.
