The Giants got off to a hot start, with Jung Hoo Lee tripling to lead off the game. Willy Adames hit a sacrifice fly to score Lee and the Giants were up quickly on the Rockies. Luckily, the damage was limited and the Rockies were able to answer back in the second inning with a Brenton Doyle double and Ryan Ritter single to tie the game.

With third baseman Matt Chapman potentially out for several weeks or more with a sprained right hand, the San Francisco Giants will need others to pick up the slack. The ideal person to respond to the challenge would be shortstop Willy Adames,

Chapman (hand) expects to miss more than the minimum 10 days while on the injured list, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Chapman was placed on the 10-day injured list Tuesday after injuring his right hand while diving back into first base Sunday.
