No Kings protests were held Saturday in nearly 2,000 places across the U.S. The protests were planned on the same day as the military parade in D.C.
Across the country, relatively few disruptions were reported during protests and marches where the mood ranged from joyful to defiant.
The Texas Department of Safety has identified a “credible threat toward state legislators” attending Saturday's “No Kings” protest at the Capitol.

MORE: KXAN reporter Jala Washington said a No Kings Protest in Bastrop had at least 500 people demonstrating against the Trump Administration. A group of Trump supporters was also present and counter-protesting.
The Houston demonstration is one of several planned in the region throughout the day and is expected to draw thousands of protesters.
The protest coincides with the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary celebration and parade, which is also President Donald Trump's birthday and Flag Day.
