In one of the biggest trades in NHL history, Minnesota acquired the Norris Trophy-winning star captain from Vancouver.

The NHL had a wild Friday night with three significant trades that reshaped multiple franchises. One involved a Norris Trophy winner who Vancouver couldn't keep. Another saw two goalies swap teams in a change-of-scenery deal.

Quinn Hughes was traded to Minnesota on Friday for a first-round pick and three rosters players who are all former first-rounders.
