Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway, alongside co-star Stanley Tucci, reprised their roles in the comedy-drama. The movie was an adaptation of the 2003 novel written by Lauren Weisberger. It followed Andy Sachs (Hathaway), an aspiring journalist's life under her demanding editor, Miranda Priestly (Streep).

The shooting occurred near the New York City set of 'The Devil Wears Prada 2'. Shane Tamura, the shooter, killed four people, including a police officer. He then killed himself in a Midtown Manhattan skyscraper.

Streep and Hathaway will reprise their roles as Miranda Priestly and Andy Sachs, while EW previously exclusively reported that Adrian Grenier won't return.
