The son of Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich has apologized for a prank call made to Shedeur Sanders on Friday as he waited to be picked in the NFL draft.

The biggest surprise of the 2025 NFL draft was projected first-round quarterback Shedeur Sanders sliding into the fifth round. This precipitous fall was made worse by a cruel prank phone call Sanders received while he was waiting.

According to NFL insider Dianna Russini, the team is not expected to take any action against Ulbrich for his role in the Sanders prank. It obviously doesn't look good that Ulbrich let his son get a hold of the number, but it's hard to imagine he had any other involvement.
