Lindgren put Colorado up 1-0 at 13:21 of the first period with a seeing-eye wrist shot from the top of the point through traffic that beat a screened Wolf to the blocker. The goal was Lindgren's first with the Avalanche after he was acquired from the New York Rangers on March 1 and first in 29 games overall.

The Calgary Flames (30-24-11) are in must-win territory on a nightly basis, but dropped their second consecutive contest on Friday, losing to the Colorado Avalanche 4-2 at the Saddledome.

Colorado Avalanche forward Parker Kelly described himself as “the puck guy” before Colorado’s matchup against the Calgary Flames. Then, he became a superhero. Kelly went out and won the game for the Avs on Friday, back in the wing after spending most of the season adjusting to center. He scored twice in the Avalanche’s 4-2 victory over the Flames.
